The day, hour by hour

The 10th of April

A rough shape of things. Nothing binding, except the ceremony. That really does start on time.

11.30 am

Arrival

Please aim to arrive by this time at the latest. A moment to gather before the ceremony.

12.00 pm

The ceremony

The actual getting-married bit.

We've paid a lovely photographer to capture it, so please, no phones out during the ceremony.

12.30 pm

Cocktail hour

Drinks and canapés on the lawn, garden games, and an hour to catch up with everyone before we sit down.

2.00 pm

Wedding breakfast

Banquet-style dinner in the Vineyard Barn. Long shared tables, speeches, Stanlake wine, maybe a tear or two.

4.30 pm

A bit of downtime

A quieter hour to catch your breath, refill a glass, and take a slow walk through the vineyard.

5.30 pm

Evening reception

Things pick up again. Second wind, please.

6.00 pm

First dance

The bit we've been secretly dreading. Please cheer us on.

8.30 pm

Evening food

Something hot and indulgent for the long haul.

11.30 pm

Last drinks

Things start winding down. No rush. A good moment to round off the night and flag down your taxi.

Midnight

Carriages

That's us. Goodnight, thank you, we love you.

The practicals

Everything else.

Numbers & plus ones

A bit of admin
Our guest list is already a lot longer than we'd planned, and the Coach House has a strict cap for the ceremony. If you'd love to bring a plus one, add their name on the RSVP. We'll do our best, but no guarantees. We'll confirm once we know how things have landed. Thanks for bearing with us.

ii.

Drinks

On us
We'll have a bar tab running that should cover a good part of the night: Stanlake wines, local beers, and the usual suspects. It winds down late evening, so pace yourself or don't. We won't judge.

iii.

Getting here

Train, taxi, or car
By train:
Twyford Station, on the Elizabeth line.
A short walk or three-minute taxi from the estate.
By car: parking is on-site but limited.
Where you can, train or taxi is easier.
Sat-nav: RG10 0BN.

iv.

Where to stay

Somewhere nearby
On-site accommodation is reserved for immediate family. For everyone else, we'll share a shortlist of inns and hotels within a short drive closer to the day.
To be confirmed

v.

Dress code

Spring Garden Party
Pastels and florals if the mood strikes, never compulsory. Heels are optional (damp grass is not part of the plan). It is April in the UK, so bring a layer. For the men: just good vibes.

vi.

A gift

For the honeymoon
We're not having a traditional registry. If you'd like to mark the day, a contribution towards our honeymoon would be very gratefully received. We'll share the details closer to the date.
To be confirmed

Unable to attend

Our two furriest family members send their apologies. The barn is, regrettably, not cat-proof.

The reply

Will you join us?

A minute of your time. We'd love to know either way.

Will you attend·

If you'd like to request a plus one, add their name here. We're still finalising numbers and will confirm closer to the day.

Allergies, vegetarian, vegan, anything we should know. Dinner is served banquet-style.
